Patna Hostel Sealed Following NEET Aspirant's Death and Sexual Assault Allegations

A private hostel in Patna was sealed after the death of an 18-year-old NEET aspirant from Jehanabad, who was found unconscious and later died in hospital. Her family alleged sexual assault and police cover-up, prompting protests and the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT). The post-mortem cited sleeping pill overdose and typhoid, while another NEET aspirant's suicide in a different hostel also emerged amid the controversy. Authorities have arrested the hostel owner and detained a suspect in the second case.
