A police operation in Yalova province, northwest Turkey, targeting suspected Islamic State militants resulted in the deaths of six militants and three police officers, with eight other officers and a night guard wounded. The raid, which began early Monday and lasted nearly eight hours, involved special forces and precautions for civilians inside the house, including five women and six children who were safely evacuated. This operation is part of a broader national crackdown against IS suspects, following recent detentions of 115 individuals allegedly planning holiday attacks.
