Jerusalem police arrested an eastern Jerusalem resident suspected of hitting a police officer during a traffic stop in the Atarot area and fleeing. The officer was slightly injured and taken to the hospital. Police conducted searches and apprehended the suspect and several others shortly after the incident. The motive, whether terror-related or criminal, is currently unknown.
