An arrest has been made in connection with an arson that heavily damaged the historic Beth Israel Congregation in Jackson, Mississippi. The fire, which broke out early Saturday, caused significant damage to an administrative office and library, destroying or damaging several Torahs. No injuries were reported. The FBI and ATF are assisting local authorities in the investigation. The synagogue, the largest in Mississippi, has a history of being targeted, including a KKK bombing in 1967.
