Army Court Martial Acquits Havildar of Sexual Assault Charges Against Agniveer

A District Court Martial acquitted a Sikh Light Infantry havildar of sexual assault charges against a newly recruited Agniveer. The havildar was charged under Section 46(a) of the Army Act for alleged unnatural conduct on December 1, 2023. The court examined multiple witnesses, inspected the alleged site, and found inconsistencies in testimonies and evidence. After a revision ordered by the convening authority, the havildar was again found not guilty in February 2026.
