Maharashtra Minister's Assistant Granted Bail in Wife's Suicide Abetment Case

Anant Garje, personal assistant to Maharashtra minister Pankaja Munde, was granted bail in the abetment of suicide case involving his wife, Dr. Gauri Palve, who died by suicide in November 2025. The complaint, filed by Palve's father, alleged continuous physical and mental harassment and an extramarital affair by Garje. Garje denied the allegations, claiming the FIR was based on suspicion and emotional distress. The court imposed conditions on his bail, including non-interference with witnesses and mandatory court appearances.
