Mumbai police have registered a financial fraud case against Sanjay Dattatray Bhalerav, director of S.D. Bhalerav Construction Pvt. Ltd., for allegedly cheating an elderly investor of Rs 65.80 lakh. The complaint was filed by the investor's brother on behalf of the 84-year-old, who had invested in a Kurla housing project in 2013. Bhalerav allegedly promised a flat or higher returns, but the construction reportedly stopped mid-way.
