Former Caregiver Arrested for Stabbing Elderly Woman to Death in Kolkata

Anita Ghosh, a 64-year-old woman from Kolkata's Parnasree area, was fatally stabbed at her home on Becharam Chatterjee Road on Monday. The accused, Sanju Sarkar, a former caregiver who had worked for the family two years prior, allegedly demanded money and attacked her after she refused. The victim's bedridden husband was present during the incident. Neighbors intervened, detaining the accused who later confessed. Police are investigating motives including robbery, as valuables were reportedly taken.
