Woman Killed, Two Injured After Electric Car Hits Pedestrians in Mumbai
A 41-year-old woman, Kinjal Hiren Shah, was killed and an elderly couple, Premji and Nirmala Dongiya, were injured after an electric car driven by Vilas Shridhar Gavhankar allegedly lost control and struck pedestrians near Mogibai Market in Vile Parle (East), Mumbai. The accident occurred between 4:30 pm and 5 pm on Railway Station Road. Police reported that the driver, with limited electric vehicle experience, may have confused the accelerator with the brake. Gavhankar has been arrested, and investigations are ongoing.
