Two Mumbai Police Officials Suspended After Arrest in Bribery Case

Two police officials from Mumbai's Kurar police station, Senior Inspector Sanjeev Baliram Tawde and Sub-Inspector Dnyaneshwar Govindrao Junne, were arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau on February 19 for allegedly seeking a bribe. Junne was reportedly caught accepting the bribe. Following their arrest, both officers have been suspended pending a departmental inquiry, according to a senior police official.
