Woman Arrested in Guwahati Over Alleged Defamatory Social Media Posts on Zubeen Garg

The Guwahati Crime Branch arrested Sikha Sarma following a complaint by Garima Saikia Garg, wife of Assam's cultural icon Zubeen Garg, over alleged derogatory and defamatory social media posts targeting Garg and his family. The complaint cited emotional distress and potential law and order disruption, leading to a case under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita. The All Assam Zubeen Garg Fan Club also filed a separate complaint against Sarma regarding the posts.
