
A doctor in Karnataka's Koppal district has been booked for allegedly destroying crucial medical evidence, including DNA samples, related to a gang rape case. The 39-year-old victim was allegedly assaulted by four men in November. The doctor, on duty at the time of the victim's admission, is accused of failing to preserve 16 items of evidence. Investigators discovered the evidence was destroyed when attempting retrieval for analysis. Police suspect the doctor was complicit with the accused.
