Delhi Police are intensifying efforts against cybercrime in 2026, focusing on operations like 'CyberHawk' to combat a surge in sophisticated attacks. While past operations have led to significant arrests and money recovery, recovering funds defrauded by international scammers operating from abroad, such as Cambodia and Dubai, has become extremely difficult. Delhi residents lost approximately Rs 70 crore to cyber fraud in the first six months of the year, with less than 16% of swindled money recovered by mid-November.
