Delivery Executive Attempts Self-Immolation Over Seized Motorcycle in Bareilly

In Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, delivery executive Akshay Kashyap attempted self-immolation outside Baradari police station over the seizure of his motorcycle following an accident involving a friend who borrowed it. Kashyap claimed police delayed releasing the bike despite case withdrawal, affecting his livelihood. Police stated the vehicle was withheld pending document verification and procedures. He was hospitalized with burn injuries and is now out of danger. An inquiry has been ordered to investigate the incident and any police negligence.
