
A cooking oil tanker lost control on National Highway 116 in Haldia, West Bengal, on Thursday evening, crashing into roadside shops and killing one person while injuring several others, some critically. The vehicle first hit a central divider before ploughing through a meat shop, vegetable stall, and sweet shop near Talpukur bus stand. Police have launched an investigation into the cause. Separately, in Hyderabad, a tanker collided with a motorcycle, killing two individuals, including a home guard, with authorities investigating the incident.
