A sessions court in Mumbai sentenced horse handler Sohan Jaiswal to two years' rigorous imprisonment for the 2017 death of six-year-old Janhavi Mistry, who fell from a horse during a ride at Cooperage Garden. The court found Jaiswal guilty of culpable homicide for failing to provide safety measures like helmets and operating without a license. The defense argued the fall resulted from poor road conditions causing the horse to trip, but the court held the handler responsible for the child's safety.
