Police in Punjab's Patiala arrested Manpreet Singh, an alleged associate of gangster Lucky Patial, following a shootout on Thursday. Singh sustained a leg injury and is undergoing treatment. Authorities claim he is a key shooter involved in two recent extortion-related firing incidents: one at a dhaba owner in Rajpura and another at an NRI's farmhouse in Patran. Police seized a pistol and motorcycle, and are investigating further to identify other gang members. Singh also faces drug peddling and Arms Act violation cases.
