Retired Army Colonel Assaulted and Extorted After Minor Collision in Gurugram

A retired Army colonel, Anil Yadav, was assaulted by six men with beer bottles following a minor collision in Gurugram on February 21. The attackers damaged his vehicle, forced him to transfer Rs 30,000 via UPI, and attempted to kidnap him. Yadav was hospitalized with head and facial injuries. Five suspects have been arrested, while one remains at large. The victim alleged initial police inaction, which changed after his social media post drew public attention.
