Four Punjab Police Officials Granted Bail in Colonel Pushpinder Singh Bath Assault Case

A CBI court granted bail to four Punjab Police officials—Sub-Inspector Ronnie Singh, Harry Boparai, Harjinder Singh Dhillon, and Jai Singh—accused of assaulting Colonel Pushpinder Singh Bath in Patiala. They must furnish bail bonds of Rs 1 lakh each with one surety of the same amount. Charges include grievous hurt and wrongful restraint, while the attempt-to-murder charge was dropped. The court mandated their presence at hearings, allowing exemptions only with valid reasons and senior officer approval. The incident occurred on the night of March 13-14 near Rajindra Hospital. The next hearing is scheduled for February 16.
