Delhi Police Rescue 25-Day-Old Infant in Child Trafficking Probe; Two Arrested
Delhi Police rescued a 25-day-old infant in Rohini and arrested two individuals, Garima Jain and Satish Jain, for allegedly purchasing the baby for Rs 8 lakh. This marks the sixth child recovered in an interstate trafficking racket that reportedly sold nearly 30 infants over 18 months. The syndicate targeted vulnerable families from Rajasthan and Gujarat, buying babies for as low as Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 and selling them to childless couples. Investigations continue to identify biological parents and dismantle the network.
