A truck carrying wood shavings or husk overturned onto a Bolero SUV on the Delhi-Nainital highway in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, killing the SUV's driver, Firasat Khan, instantly. The accident occurred when the truck, overloaded and swerving to avoid the Bolero, mounted a road divider and toppled. The Bolero, identified as belonging to the electricity department, was completely crushed. Rescue operations involved cranes and bulldozers, and the incident caused significant traffic disruption. The truck driver reportedly fled the scene.
