Families Awarded Compensation in 2024 Thane Road Accident Cases via Lok Adalats

In Thane district, two families received compensation through Lok Adalats for fatal road accidents in 2024. Anand Rajan Nadar, an assistant security manager, was awarded Rs 1 crore after a tempo collided with his motorcycle in September. Separately, Omkar Prakash Joshi, a software engineer, received Rs 2.14 crore following a collision involving a Tata Tigor EV on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway in August. Both settlements were reached amicably with insurers, highlighting Lok Adalats' role in expediting dispute resolution.
