Bengaluru Teacher Booked for Alleged Corporal Punishment of Student

A private school teacher in Bengaluru was booked following a complaint by a parent alleging corporal punishment of their Class 2 son on March 2. The teacher reportedly slapped the child, hit him with a wooden duster, and used abusive language after he failed to answer a mathematics question. The police registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The teacher apologized to the parents, and the matter was reportedly settled with assurances against repetition.
