A Special Investigation Team (SIT) is questioning a Dindigal-based businessperson, reportedly named Mr. Mani, in connection with the alleged misappropriation of gold-plated artifacts from the Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple. The SIT suspects the case may involve interstate rackets selling ordinary objects as rare treasures. The investigation was prompted by a statement from a Non-Resident Keralite businessperson, who linked Mr. Mani to the illegal trade of religious artifacts. Mr. Mani has denied any wrongdoing.
