DRI Raids Illegal Alprazolam Manufacturing Unit in Andhra, Seizes Drugs Worth Rs 47 Crore

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) conducted 'Operation White Hammer' to raid an illegal Alprazolam manufacturing unit in Kondapalli Industrial Development Area, NTR District, Andhra Pradesh. Officials seized 237 kg of Alprazolam tablets valued at around Rs 47 crore, along with 800 kg of raw materials, 2,860 litres of chemicals, and industrial equipment. A senior chemist and his associate from Hyderabad were arrested. The facility operated under the guise of a chemical manufacturing unit. The DRI has dismantled eight such units this fiscal year.
