
The CBI arrested two proclaimed offenders wanted for over a decade in separate cases. Tamanna Chakma was detained in Guwahati, Assam, after failing to appear in a 14-year-old misappropriation case involving compensation bills. Tapan Pramanik, wanted in a 13-year-old Tripura chit fund fraud case involving Rs 3-4 crore, was apprehended in West Bengal. Both were located through extensive surveillance, field verification, and CDR analysis after being declared absconders by the courts.
