Five Dead, Dozens Injured in Lucknow Double-Decker Bus Overturn Near Expressway

A double-decker private bus carrying about 85 passengers from Ludhiana to Darbhanga overturned near the Purvanchal Expressway toll plaza in Lucknow around 3 pm, resulting in five deaths, including three children, and injuring 45 others. Disturbing videos from the rescue operation showed bodies dangling from and falling out of the bus windows. Authorities reported the bus was overcrowded and moving at over 80 kmph. The driver, allegedly drunk and speeding, fled but was later arrested by police.
