Class 12 Student Attacked Outside Pune College After HSC Exam Over Past Dispute

A 17-year-old Class 12 student, Shankar Mirgane, was attacked with a sharp weapon called a koyta outside Mamasaheb Mohol College in Kothrud, Pune, shortly after completing his HSC exam. The assault involved three minors, one of whom has been detained while police search for the others. Investigations indicate the attack stemmed from a dispute over a girl dating back two to three years when the victim and suspects studied together in Class 10. Mirgane sustained a non-grievous head injury and is out of danger.
