Three prisoners serving life sentences for POCSO Act offenses escaped from Hazaribag Central Jail in Jharkhand on December 31 by cutting window bars and scaling walls. They were apprehended in Solapur district, Maharashtra, where they were working at a brick kiln. The escapees, identified as Deva Bhuiyan, Rahul Rajwar, and Jitendra Rawani, traveled through Bihar before reaching Maharashtra. Special Investigation Teams were formed to track their movements and locate them.
