Police arrested a contractor, Ravish, accused of embezzling ₹2.41 crore from Indian Bank customer accounts. Ravish, who had been absconding for nine months, was apprehended on Saturday. The case initially involved the branch manager and cashier, who, along with other accomplices, have since been convicted or are out on bail. Ravish's name emerged when large sums were found transferred into his construction firm's account from those involved in the fraud.
