Delhi Police Arrest 854 in 48-Hour Operation Targeting Organised Crime Ahead of Republic Day

Delhi Police conducted a 48-hour crackdown named Operation Gang-Bust 2026 from January 9 to 11 across Delhi and five neighboring states, arresting 854 people and registering 690 FIRs targeting organised crime ahead of Republic Day. Over 9,000 personnel raided more than 4,000 gang hideouts, apprehending shooters, facilitators, and gang members linked to major and minor gangs. The operation also recovered firearms, narcotics, and cash, aiming to dismantle criminal networks and prevent threats during the celebrations.
