
Five individuals were arrested in Assam's Cachar district after authorities seized 538 grams of heroin valued at Rs 3.25 crore from two vehicles on March 7. The Chief Minister's Office stated that the Cachar police acted on specific intelligence to intercept the vehicles on Silchar-Kalain Road. Assam's Chief Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, praised the police team and reaffirmed the state's commitment to a drug-free Assam with zero tolerance for narcotics.
