Shimla Police Arrest Punjab-Based Kingpin in Interstate Drug Trafficking Case

Shimla police, assisted by Punjab Police, arrested Hardeep Singh, a Ferozepur-based kingpin of an interstate drug trafficking network involved in adulterated heroin ('chitta') trade. The network was uncovered after arrests of Punjab residents with heroin in Rohru. Investigations revealed multiple transactions totaling Rs 28 lakh over seven months linked to Hardeep and associates. Seven individuals, including local suppliers and intermediaries, have been arrested, with further inquiries ongoing.
