Three robbers involved in a December 16th heist of over ₹4 lakh in Mahilpur, Punjab, were arrested after an exchange of fire with police in Hoshiarpur. The suspects, identified as Onkar Singh alias Gora, Ram Asra alias Shami, and Armaan alias Gonga, opened fire on police during a routine patrol, injuring a police personnel's bulletproof jacket. The gang leader, Onkar Singh, sustained a leg injury and was hospitalized. Police recovered weapons and a motorcycle, and the accused confessed to another robbery.
