Delhi Police Detain Habitual Drug Trafficker Sonia Under PIT-NDPS Act

Delhi Police detained Sonia, a 41-year-old resident of Uttam Nagar, under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT-NDPS) Act on February 26. A habitual offender since 2009, Sonia has been linked to at least eight cases involving excise violations and narcotics trafficking. Investigations revealed her role as a supplier in multiple cases involving marijuana seizures. The preventive detention aims to curb her ongoing involvement in organized drug trafficking. She is currently lodged in Tihar jail.
