A BTech student, Abhinav Sharma, died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on January 7 in Sarangpur. Police reported that an Innova car allegedly turned suddenly without signaling, colliding with Sharma's motorcycle. Both Sharma and his friend Sagar were injured, with Sharma succumbing to his injuries during treatment at PGI. A case has been registered against the unidentified driver, who reportedly fled the scene. In a separate incident, an elderly woman was killed by a suspected drunk driver in Sector 40.
