A dispute between a shopkeeper and staff at Badkul Sweet Shop in Jabalpur escalated into a protest by the Jain community, who alleged offensive remarks were made against them. The situation intensified when individuals reportedly arrived with baseball bats and assaulted the shopkeeper. Police intervened with a lathi charge to disperse the protesting crowd, resulting in injuries to several individuals, including a police sub-inspector. Two accused have been taken into custody.
