A man, Karan Singh, has been sentenced to death by a court in Medchal-Malkajgiri district for the 2011 murder of a woman. His body was discovered near the Bharatnagar flyover with multiple stab wounds. Singh, a blacksmith from Karnataka, was arrested in August 2011 and subsequently convicted under Section 302 of the IPC. The court also imposed a fine of ₹10,000 on the convict.
