Gutkha Worth Rs 72.93 Lakh Seized in Maharashtra's Nanded and Hingoli Districts

Authorities in Maharashtra's Nanded and Hingoli districts seized gutkha worth Rs 72.93 lakh during raids targeting banned tobacco products on January 19. Police confiscated Rs 14.67 lakh worth of gutkha from vehicles in Hingoli and Rs 58.26 lakh from a godown in Nanded's Itwara area. Four individuals were booked under relevant legal provisions, including the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Food Safety and Standards Act.
