Karnataka DGP K Ramachandra Rao Suspended Over Viral Video Allegations

Karnataka Director General of Police (Civil Rights Enforcement) K Ramachandra Rao was suspended after videos allegedly showing him in compromising positions with women inside his office went viral on social media. The state government cited conduct unbecoming of a government servant and initiated an inquiry under the All India Services Conduct Rules. Rao denied the allegations, calling the videos fabricated and possibly manipulated. The controversy follows previous scrutiny related to his stepdaughter's gold smuggling case. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Home Minister Parameshwara have ordered investigations, emphasizing that no official is above the law.
