A 44-year-old woman, Rachna Yadav, was shot dead in northwest Delhi's Shalimar Bagh. Police suspect the murder is linked to the 2023 killing of her husband, Vijendra Yadav, in which she was the main witness. Investigators believe her killing may have been intended to weaken the case against the accused, including the absconding main suspect Bharat Yadav, and intimidate other witnesses. CCTV footage shows the shooter and an accomplice on a sports bike, who fled the scene. No arrests have been made yet.
