In Meerut, a speeding Thar SUV ran over a group of men sitting around a bonfire on Sunday night. One man, identified as Banwari alias Benami (45), died from his injuries en route to the hospital. Two others, Shashi Kumar and Rajendra Singh, sustained critical injuries and are receiving medical treatment. The occupants of the SUV fled the scene, and police are attempting to locate them.
