A Delhi court has sentenced four individuals to three years in prison for impersonating candidates in a University Grants Commission (UGC) clerk exam. The convicts, Pappu Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Rajeev Ranjan, and Rishi Nath, hired others to take their written and typing tests in 2015. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) alleged a conspiracy to commit fraud and cheat the UGC. Suspicion arose after unsatisfactory performance and a failed re-test, leading to forensic examination of thumb impressions which revealed discrepancies.
