Police in Greater Noida have registered an FIR against six individuals, including three doctors and three health officials, after a woman alleged a surgical cloth was left inside her abdomen during a C-section in November 2023. The cloth, measuring nearly half a meter, was reportedly discovered and removed during a surgery in April 2024, after the woman experienced persistent pain for over 15 months. The FIR was filed on court orders, invoking sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita related to negligence and criminal intimidation. An investigation into alleged medical negligence is ongoing.
