Zobaidul Amin, a 28-year-old Bangladeshi man studying medicine in Malaysia, was transported to Alaska to face federal charges of child sexual exploitation. He allegedly used social media to deceive hundreds of US teenage girls into sending explicit images by posing as a teenager and threatening to share the images if demands were unmet. The investigation began after a 14-year-old victim reported abuse. Amin pleaded not guilty and was indicted on charges including child pornography and cyberstalking.
