Mumbai ATS Arrests Engineering Student for Sharing Terror Propaganda Linked to JeM and ISIS

The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) arrested 22-year-old engineering student Ayan Sheikh in Mumbai for allegedly sharing online propaganda linked to banned terrorist groups Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Islamic State. Following coordinated raids at multiple locations, electronic devices were seized for forensic analysis. Sheikh is accused of disseminating extremist content, attempting recruitment, and possibly facilitating funding. Two other individuals are under investigation. Authorities are examining communications and financial transactions to assess the extent of involvement and connections with Pakistan-based sympathisers.
