Punjab Police Kill Notorious Gangster Mani Prince in Amritsar Encounter

Punjab police killed notorious gangster Mani Prince, alias Mani Soorma, in an encounter near Amritsar's Gharinda area following a tip-off. Prince, linked to the Kishan Jandiala gang, faced around 50 cases including murder, kidnapping, and arms violations across multiple districts. He had escaped police custody after being injured in a previous encounter on January 12. Police recovered a foreign-made pistol from him and continue investigations amid a broader crackdown on organised crime in the state.
