CBI Arrests Haryana IPS Officer Over Bribery in Puducherry Counterfeit Drugs Case
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Haryana cadre IPS officer Deepak Gahlawat, currently on central deputation with the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, in connection with an alleged bribery case linked to a counterfeit drugs probe in Puducherry. Gahlawat is accused of demanding Rs 3 crore from a businessman, promising to influence the CBI investigation. Earlier, the CBI arrested a Delhi Police inspector and others in the case, recovering cash and documents. Investigations and searches related to Gahlawat are ongoing.
