Mumbai Police Overpower Machete-Wielding Man Near CSMT, Prevent Incident
On June 27, a 22-year-old man armed with a machete (referred to as a koyta) caused panic near Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus by threatening pedestrians and a woman accompanying him. The incident was captured on video and shared on social media. Police constable Vishal Yashwant Gade intervened swiftly, overpowering and disarming the man with assistance from a passerby. The suspect was arrested by M.R.A. Marg police, and no injuries were reported.
