MACT Awards Compensation to Families of Two Men Killed in Maharashtra Road Accidents

The Motor Accident Claims Tribunals (MACT) in Maharashtra awarded compensation to families of two men killed in separate road accidents involving commercial vehicles. In Pune, Mohit Raju Kasyap's family received Rs 37.55 lakh after a speeding truck without a valid permit hit his motorcycle in October 2022. In Mumbai, Arjun Shivram Bamble's family was awarded Rs 83.65 lakh following a 2020 accident where a BEST bus allegedly drove rashly into his motorcycle. Both tribunals held the commercial vehicle drivers responsible.
